Project – Extension conversion of a new home at Hartopp Road – Sutton Coldfield

Location – Blinds/tracks/curtains/shutters fitted to all internal windows

Products Used –Motorised Q Motion Roller Blinds with sheer fabrics to bedroom areas and cinema room. Motorised and hand drawn Curtain tracks and 80mm wave curtains in Voile fabric to all areas. A large number of cushions and throws were also supplied along with seat cushions for a large square seating area in recessed fire pit in the garden.  Plantation shutters in white were installed in all en-suite and bathroom areas.

Client’s requirements – The client was totally renovating an existing property in an exclusive area of Coldfield – a popular commuting area for Birmingham. We were introduced to the client by The Controls Provider Simkiss Controls and met the Interior Designer and Builder to help provide a combination of recessed blinds and shutters along stylish modern soft furnishings to compliment the lavish design and decorations planned for the property. We work closely with Softly Furnished Ltd of Preston on many of our projects and we and asked Pamela Greenwood to assist with the fabric selections to ensure a high quality finish.

Solution – All roller blinds were recessed into pre-formed recess boxes as were the Silent Gliss motorised and manual curtain tracks into the ceilings. The fabrics for both blinds and curtains were high quality sheer fabrics giving a very stylish softening of the light creating warm and effective solutions for shading of the numerous windows. The bathrooms and en-suites had white plantation shutters giving an effective and attractive look to the high quality porcelain tiled finishes. The cinema room had blackout fabric roller blinds giving a very high degree of blackout. The Wave Curtains and soft furnishings manufactured and installed by Softly Furnished on our behalf were perfect and blended with the amazing furniture and décor through-out the property. The motorised systems were linked back to the Home Automation System provided by Simkiss Controls and operated seamlessly.
